USE OF SAFETYGUARD ARE MENTIONED BELOW
- Safetyguard saves ones life by switching off the main power supply within 1/30 seconds and blows siren and led light for public attention in case of electrical shock and electrical short circuit.
- In case of electrical short circuit, It saves electrical appliances from damage and fire by immediately stopping power supply provided the wiring is done using adequate guage of wire from power supply point to the equipment point.
- It stops power supply when current of higher ampere passes than the capacity of lifeguard.
- If electrical equipment is connected with the earthing directly from it`s body or by three pin plug, Lifeguard immediately cuts off power supply in case of short circuit due to earthing.
- Siren of Safetyguard is equipped with the timer switch. It shuts off siren in 3-4 minutes in order not to disturb neighbors, However emergency lamp will be on, which will help reaching to lifeguard to restart it.
- Safetyguard provides protection against over voltage. Safetyguard has a test button, Which pressing the safetyguard will trip. This shows that the safetyguard is working properly.
- Operating sensitivity can be set from 5mA to 100mA. Sometimes due to moistures and dust there is a minor leakage of current from lifeguard. In such situation to avoid such leaking current mA set knob should be kept on upper value leakage.
- Sometimes during monsoon, Current leakage at load wiring of lifeguard will be increase in such case till 100mA safetyguard will be tripped But if leakage is more than 100mA and lifeguard doesn`t start, It is advisable to call electrician immediately and repair such wiring where leakage is happening. This is required for safetyguard operation and overall safety.
